How do contractors offer financing to customers?

A contractor offers financing by enrolling with a multi-lender platform, then presenting pre-qualified offers to the customer during the sales conversation. One soft-pull application routes to several lenders at once, approvals come back in minutes, and the lender pays the contractor directly at agreed project milestones.

  1. Enroll your business once

A short enrollment gets your company approved to present financing. No monthly platform fee and no dealer fee on standard-rate loans.

  2. Present offers at the table

Your customer completes one soft-pull application on any device. Several participating lenders respond, so more customers hear "approved" instead of "declined".

  3. Get paid at milestones

Lenders disburse directly to your business account at milestones you define — for example 50% at material delivery and 50% at completion.

Frequently asked questions

How does multi-lender financing work?

A multi-lender platform sends one application to several participating lenders at the same time, so you receive multiple pre-qualified offers instead of applying to lenders one by one. You compare APR, term and monthly payment side by side and accept the offer that fits. Comparing uses a soft credit pull, so it does not affect your credit score.

What credit score do I need for home improvement financing?

Participating lenders on Lattice Lending generally serve credit scores from about 580 and up. Scores of 740 or higher typically receive the lowest APRs; 670–739 is well served by most lenders; 600–669 usually qualifies at higher APRs or shorter terms. Because several lenders evaluate one application, approval odds are higher than with a single lender. Score requirements vary by lender.

Can contractors offer financing through your platform?

Yes. Contractors enroll once, then present multi-lender offers to customers on any device. Approvals typically return in minutes, and lenders pay the contractor directly at agreed project milestones. Standard-rate loans carry no dealer fee; promotional 0% products carry a disclosed merchant fee.

What's the difference between a personal loan and a home equity loan for renovations?

A personal (unsecured) home improvement loan funds in days, needs no appraisal, and does not use your home as collateral, but APRs are usually higher. A home equity loan or HELOC generally offers lower rates because your home secures it, but takes weeks, involves closing costs, and puts the home at risk if you default. Lattice Lending offers the unsecured route, which fits most projects under $100,000 with a timeline of weeks.

What APR can I expect on a home improvement loan?

Across our lender network, representative APRs range from roughly 6.99% for well-qualified borrowers to 35.99% for borrowers building credit, with most approved applicants falling between 9% and 18%. Some lenders offer promotional 0% APR periods of 12–18 months when the balance is paid in full within the promo period. Your APR depends on the lender, credit profile, loan amount, term and state.

Does checking my options affect my credit score?

No. Lattice Lending uses a soft credit inquiry to match you with lenders and show pre-qualified offers, which does not affect your score. A lender performs a hard inquiry only after you accept an offer and move to final approval.

How quickly can a home improvement loan be funded?

Most participating lenders fund within one to three business days after final verification; some same-day options exist for smaller amounts. Funds go to your bank account or directly to your contractor depending on the loan product.

How do contractors get paid through Lattice Lending?

Lenders disburse directly to the contractor's business account at milestones defined in the contract — for example 50% at material delivery and 50% at completion, or 100% at completion. Payment timing and stage-funding rules are set by each lender and disclosed before the homeowner signs.
